Sculpture: Violated but not defeated. Concrete / metal.
The bride of frankly all times… How much can you bear the testimony of this cement torso? How much of the horrid inhuman history of female oppression, burnings at the stake, genital mutilations, abuse and torture etched into the most tender hearts and bodies of our mothers, daughters and sisters can you know before you must avert your gaze, drop to your knees praying for forgiveness, or reach to remove the nails and begin to heal the centuries of pain? She precariously balances, a sign we’d better decide and act before the feminine in us falls into despair.
